Diamond jewellery manufacturing process

Discover More

Step 01

Design

The process begins with sketching ideas and creating CAD models. Designers finalize blueprints and choose materials before approval.

Step 02

Pre Casting

A wax model mirrors the design and is encased in a mould. The wax burns out, leaving a cavity for metal, while sprues ensure flow.

Step 03

Casting

Gold, platinum, or silver is melted in a furnace and poured into a mould. After cooling, the mould is broken, revealing a raw metal piece.

Step 04

Post Casting

Casting is cleaned, sprues cut off. Artisans file and polish metal to smooth surfaces for stone setting. Ultrasonic baths remove debris.

Step 05

Final Stage

Diamonds are set with prongs, bezels, or pavé techniques. The piece is polished, rhodium plated, and undergoes checks before packaging.

Diamond Quality Guaranteed

The 4Cs of diamond quality—cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight—are the essential factors to consider when choosing a diamond. They all contribute to its exceptional beauty and value.

  • The cut quality of a diamond is the most important factor in its brilliance and sparkle. A well-cut diamond reflects light more efficiently, making it brighter and more dazzling.

  • Diamonds are graded on a colour scale from D to Z. Colourless diamonds are the most valuable, but diamonds with a slight yellow or brown tint can still be beautiful and affordable.

  • A diamond’s clarity refers to the number and size of inclusions and tiny blemishes in a diamond. Inclusions are natural in diamonds, all impacting a diamond’s appearance and value.

  • The carat weight of a diamond is its mass measurement. Carat weight is often used for comparing sizes. However, note that cut quality can influence a stone's size and appearance.
